SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING PARAMETERS IN AN ELECTRIC GRID INFRASTRUCTURE BY AUTONOMOUS ROBOTIC DEVICES

Body

This invention encompasses an automated ground robot intended for inspection and monitoring of electrical substation equipment. The robot inspects such equipment while following a predetermined path and employing a thermal and optical dual camera setup. The images are examined onboard, and a comprehensive report is generated which can then be examined by a maintenance engineer. The robot can navigate avoiding obstacles using LiDAR, recharge when necessary, and operate in a variety of weather conditions. Additionally, it is equipped with sound sensors for detecting anomaly and ultrasonic system to prevent foreign intrusions like birds. The robot can also climb stairs under guidance. The robot's actions can be remotely observed, and it can act as a security patrol unit.
