Shri Akhilesh Pathak
Shri Akhilesh Pathak (DIN: 10830950) is a graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Mangalore University, Karnataka (1991) and has further strengthened his leadership capabilities through the Harvard ManageMentor Program conducted by Harvard Business School.
Shri Akhilesh Pathak is a power sector professional with over 32 years of experience in transmission system planning, project execution, project management, business development, and strategic infrastructure development. An Executive Trainee of POWERGRID's first batch (1993), he has held several key leadership positions across the organization. He possesses extensive expertise in the development, execution, monitoring, and commissioning of EHV transmission lines and substations. During his tenure in POWERGRID’s Project Management Department, he played a key role in achieving the highest-ever CAPEX utilization of the Corporation and delivering one of the highest asset capitalization and transmission line additions (CKM), while driving resolution of critical project implementation issues through effective stakeholder coordination and strategic project monitoring. He successfully led the Arun-3 SAPDC Transmission Project in Nepal, overcoming cross-border, regulatory, and geographical challenges. He has also contributed significantly to POWERGRID's Business Development function by expanding consultancy services and supporting revenue growth initiatives. His diverse experience spans project management, transmission infrastructure development, international projects, business development, and strategic leadership, contributing substantially to the growth and strengthening of India's power transmission network. Prior to his appointment as Director (Projects), Shri Akhilesh Pathak was Executive Director, OSD (Projects) at POWERGRID.
